Quick Heating Self Limiting Heating Cable has become the most common type of electric tracing in the world. They can be widely used in liquid transportation in pipelines and tank anti-freeze insulation, maintain process temperature, heating highways, ramps, crosswalks, eaves and floors. A semiconductor polymer material is distributed between the two conductive cores of self-limiting electric tracing, and the outer part is composed of a polymer inner sheath, an alloy shielding net and a polymer outer sheath. When there is a current through the cable, the cable resistance increases as the temperature of the electrical wake increases. The result is that the output power of the electric wake decreases with the increase of its temperature. Since the heat tracing power varies with the temperature at various points in the electrical wake, the heated semiconductor core material behaves as a variable temperature resistance contrary to the trend of high/low heating temperature. Self-limiting electric wake will not overheat even if overlapped. No special design is required. The self-limiting electric tracing cable can be cut at any time in the field to exactly correspond to the actual laying length of the pipeline.
