nek ts 606 gas cables|nek ts 606 oil cables is a Norwegian Technical Specification for Marine and Offshore Industries (TS) that covers a variety of power, instrumentation and ground wires that are halogen-free and/or MUD-resistant and protect them from the type of hydrocarbon-containing drilling fluids used in drilling operations that may adversely affect cable sheath materials. NEK 606 CABLE DESIGNATION AND PROPERTIES
nek ts 606 gas cables|nek ts 606 oil cables have many similarities with cables covered under IEEE 1580 type P and British Standard BS6883, with distinct requirements in relation to the insulation, screening, braiding, bedding and sheathing compound.
BFOU cables contain a mica glass tape making them flame resistant according to IEC 60331-21 and 31. RFOU cables are flame retardant according to IEC 60332-3-22. UX earth cables are flame retardant to IEC 60332-1.
